50 years ago, Walter McNeilty, a well rounded handyman, moved to Vavenby BC
from a farming life in Saskatchewan to work in the Mill, marry and start a family.
And over 45 years ago, by trial and error, he set out to design an easy to assemble,
adaptable, sturdy, all purpose accessory building that could be built primarily with
wood products that were readily available and affordable. As well, this all
purpose building was to be portable and could withstand all types of weather.
And so the 'Quanshed' was created.
